homemade candy bars
When I saw this post at Chow Magazine (via not martha), I got all excited. Why not make your own homemade candy bars! They'd make lovely stocking stuffers, I think. Love it.

I was so excited to see that post on Chow! They look fantastic, though they do not sound nearly as yummy as those salted caramels that you posted about. :) As soon as I get my hands on some decent salt I am totally going to give your caramels a try.
they do look great, eviedee! as for those salted caramels, you really don't need fancy salt. kosher would be fine, as would regular ol' table salt!
