spring steps
I've been feeling a bit down lately but today the sunshine is out and I went out for a nice late breakfast with C and a walk around our neighbourhood. I also think that playing Kanye's "Amazing" on repeat didn't hurt either. Whereas the last few days I've been dragging my feet and moping, today I'm full of optimism again (thank goodness). I can't wait for spring and warm days and maybe a bit of kite flying too.

Moping and dragging your feet? That's not good. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better today. A nice change in weather and a pleasant breakfast outing always helps chase away the blahs! Sending positive vibes your way and a big cyber hug to you!
p.s. Make a cake and eat it. Call it the "happy day cake" for getting rid of the blahs!
yeah, it sucks! i also left out the fact that i was crying at any sad story or just cuz. sigh. oh well, those days pass...and let's hope it has passed :) i think cake is a good call!
yup, been there, it's no fun...I find that eating more fatty fish helps elevate my mood...I have a bottle of Arctic cod liver oil in my fridge which works really well with balancing serotonin levels in the brain, especially during the winter months when the days are shorter. It's like that Buckley's commercial on tv...it tastes awful but it works! I prefer cake hands down :)
hey kickpleat, i haven't said "hi" to you in a long time, though i'm still out here in cyberspace following along. sorry you've been down lately. know that i'm thinking about you! i'm glad you got to go see your family recently. the good news is that spring is almost here, so there are brighter days ahead. also, it seems like a small thing, but i find that the scent of meyer lemon (soaps, lotions, or in food) really is uplifting. a little "aromatherapy" never hurts! and i like bijoux's cake idea! in fact, make a lemon cake. cake cures all!
bijoux, my dad was trying to talk me into taking some citrus-flavoured fish oil when i was visiting! maybe i'll have to try that.
thanks bellcurves. i love the sound of a lemon cake....mmmmm.
