bellingham bound

Next weekend I'll be taking a little road trip with some friends into Bellingham, with the required stops at Casa Que Pasa, The Old Town Cafe, the antique mall, Value Village and of course, Target. And Trader Joe's. So what I'm looking here is for a little help! What are some must have Trader Joe's items? I've also had some let-down Trader Joe's items in the past, so I want some TJ sure things. Also how is the Boots No. 7 line at Target? Awesome or not worth it? Any other interesting Target items? I hate wandering around aimlessly and it's good to have a plan before I set into the scary lights of Target. Gimme gimme!

Sounds like fun!
I've never been to Trader J's or Target so I couldn't offer any advice, but I'm looking forward to seeing your purchases.

Right now I'm addicted to sea salt and rosemary marcona almonds from TJ's. Oh, so good.

Boots line: pretty good.
TJ's-I like their nuts/seeds and vanilla paste most of all. Oh and the soy sauce/sesame rice crackers.

I second the Marcona almonds. They are such a deal there. Most of their chocolate candy is good, too.

I love Bellingham (aka "the City of Subdued Excitement")... I went to school @Western & loved loved loved my 4 years there. Just FYI, Casa Que Pasa has new owners - it's not quite as good as before, but they still serve the infamous potato burrito. Also, look for Mallard's Ice Cream shop (so yummy!) & the Bagelry (tasty bagels) (both just down the street from Casa).

I have many faves from TJ's including: peanut butter pretzels, soyzels (soy pretzels), Thai spiced peanuts, Thai tuna (red & green are good) - comes in foil packets in a box, Indian packets (similar packaging), frozen naan, fruit salsas (peach or mango, good on fish), peanut butter chocolate malt balls (dangerous!), tomato-red pepper soup (in soymilk container), panko-breaded tilapia (frozen), mochi ice creams(frozen), macademia cashew nut butter, cheese tortellinis, their tofu is pretty cheap, brie, goat cheese crumbles, dried fruits like apricots... hmmn I could go on all day!

Oh, Trader Joe's is such a great grocery store. I'm still hoping they bring one to my area. I stock up on Trader Joe's products whenever I get a chance to go to one. Trader Joe's cereals are good. So is the Moroccan simmer sauce, and also the Indian Curry sauce (though it's a bit hot!), and the marinara pasta sauce. Trader Joe's pizzas (frozen) are good...especially the goat cheese pear or the regular 4 cheese pizza. Thave have good rice crackers, as well as great store-brand rice pudding. Hope that helps. There's so many great products there.
