I don't want to jinx anything, but this summer really is the best summer in a long time. Hot, sunny and not even the threat of rain. Thank you, summer for being awesome.
Well, you can thank the Yukon 'cause it seems we're getting all of Vancouver's rain this year! Seriously, nobody who's come to visit us this summer would believe we're a "semi-arid" region. But I should shut up because the sun is actually shining right now. ;)
We have had the wettest summer so far. In fact, it is raining cats and dogs outside now and the thunder is LOUD!! We have been getting rain on a regular basis since June. Shoo, go back to Vancouver, rain!! LOL
Enjoy it. We had that summer last year and then it was followed by 120" of snow in the winter and record rain plus floods for the spring and first half of the summer. I think about it fondly as I stare out my window at the hordes of mosquitos keeping me in the house.
I've just linked to this post, as you've inspired me to make similar collages within a photo book capturing my summer experiences. Thanks so much for sharing of yourself, both here and over at 'sandwhiches' - great blogs both. Many thanks for sharing.

I love your summer 2008 collage! What a great way to evoke the mood or experience of an event or season.
Please send some of that sunshine to Ontario? It's my first year growing heirloom tomatoes and no sun is making me have to wait longer to eat them!
that sucks, fawn! well, it's raining today, if that's any consolation.
bijoux, i think your hoping worked. it's pouring and grey this morning. thanks.
thanks hag :)
keep me posted on your tomatoes! mine are doing lovely!
