these boots are made for winter walkin'

When I make a purchase, I don't just buy something. I hem, I haw and I worry. Yesterday I pondered and researched an online boot purchase for most of the day, wasting valuable time. It was stupid. Anyway, this morning I plonked down my credit card and bought the two boots above. Some lined rubber boots by Tretorn and some warm winter waterproof boots by Sorel off the Canadian Zappos site. Let's hope my online shoe shopping experience is a happy one...because my feet need some winter boot love.

Heh, that's how I shop, which is why it's taken me something like a year to commit to a single pair of boots!

I saw those Tretorns on the REI site and seriously considered them.

Really?!?!? There is a Zappos Canada site!! When did this happen? Why was I not aware of this? I think I will have to partake in some shoe obsession now :)
Nice boots! I have a red pair of rubber boots with NO lining. I think the lining makes a huge difference. Mine a cold inside. The Sorel's look extra warm. I need a new pair of warm, non-slip boots. The streets here have been very icy and slippery lately and my current snow boots do not have a good grip. I'll see about getting a pair of new boots towards the end of the winter season.

chez shoes, they haven't arrived yet, but i can't wait to try them on!

i have no idea when it happened, but it has, bijoux! to stop slipping on icy streets you can buy those yak tracks that slip onto your boots/shoes and prevent slipping!

Nice choices.

I bought those exact Tretorns at Gravity Pope last month. I hated spending $80 but they are worth every penny. They are so comfy, I wear them almost everyday.

I saw a photo on Dooce's website yesterday of her family's winter boots, and I thought her husband's Sorel boots looked so sensible that I looked at the website and decided that I will probably get some sometime. I did end up ordering some really cute boots yesterday, but they're not for snow. Ordering shoes online is very unusual for me, they will probably not fit anyway. I got these: http://www.rei.com/product/773642
