beautiful film week: harlan county usa + daybreak express

Continuing the beautiful film week, I've taken Abby's lead and went with a couple documentaries. The first is Harlan County USA. If you haven't seen this amazing film, get to it! It's one of my favorites.




Daybreak Express is a short experimental documentary by D.A. Pennebaker. If you've watched his other films, you know he makes film beautiful. This film is especially great because of the soundtrack and it's a nice little portrait of a long forgotten New York City morning. Highly recommended.
