I woke up this morning to some good news in my email. I was nominated for a 2009 Weblog Award for Best Canadian Blog for my other blog, Everybody Likes Sandwiches! Holy Smokers!! I was pretty excited and I'm not above begging...please, please, please vote for me. I really want to win.

There are some very important elections coming up and the most important thing everyone should do is vote. Sure there's the big election down south (is McCain really a serious a threat? Yikes!), but there's also a Canadian election in a couple of days. Not sure how to vote? Check out Vote for Environment which tells you how you should vote if you don't want a Conservative majority government. It uses Google maps to check out ridings in your area for some strategic voting. Yes, it's a stupid way to vote but really, I don't want a Conservative majority. Elizabeth May of the Green Party is the only leader seeking proportional representation which is the only fair way to vote. So get out there on October 14th and vote (strategically)!
